Does Creatine REALLY work?

Yes, it REALLY does work for most athletes. In my own informal, unscientific survey I have found that approximately 80% of our clients have positive results from using Creatine. There are those who are "non-responders" and will not benefit from its use. The only way to find out is to try it for two cycles. (Two months.)

If I eat right (whatever that is), do I still need supplements?

Most definitely. The U. S. Senate issued a report in the 1930's that conclusively stated that American soils are depleted of nutrients, especially minerals. The situation has not improved in 60 years. Athletes who don't "supplement", in the words of Dr. Michael Colgan, one of the world's leading sports nutrition specialists, "condemn themselves to inferior levels of performance..."

Why don't supplements work for me?

Technically the reason is probably something known as "bio-chemical individuality." This simply means that a sports nutrition program must be designed to fit you as an individual Because of genetic variations, certain combinations of products will work differently person to person. The reason supplements might not appear to be working for you could range from consistency of use to local pollution. Sports nutrition expert, Dr. Michael Colgan, refers to "Life-style Dynamics" such as food quality, alcohol use, occupations, age, weight, medication, etc., all of which greatly affect our supplement usage.

Give yourself at least 6 months to a year of consistent experimentation. If you make the commitment, you will most likely find what works for you.

How long do I have to take supplements?

First let's re-state the real issue "supplements are expensive, do I have to take them every day?" The bottom line is, if you want optimal performance and health, you need at least basic supplements (vitamins, minerals, protein). The correct, scientifically proven, answer is YES, you should take supplements as long as you are breathing. CAN you work-out without them? Hey, whether or not you take supplements, your body NEEDS them in greater doses than Mr. Potato Head. This is my opinion based on a boat load of science. know it's expensive, my family's supplement budget runs about $200 month (most of that is for me!) So I can relate very well to your concern.

I want a cheap but good weight gain product, what should I use?

Our Cytogainer is an excellent choice. It has a lot of balanced nutrition and it's cheap! No, it doesn't taste as good as some, but you can flavor it with fruit or yogurt and you have an inexpensive weight gain product. If you want to increase the protein ratio just add a scoop of "100% Whey Protein by Optimum Nutrition" and you have a home made version of Phosphagain by E.A.S., at about 1/2 the price!

Aren't Beef Liver Tablets worthless?

No. Again I disagree strongly with the Sport Supplement Review. Bodybuilders and power lifters have taken Beef Liver Tabs for decades for one reason. They work. They provide beef protein without fat or cholesterol. In my opinion, they build strength, size, and power naturally and are the cheapest ‘anabolic’ supplement in existence. A great combination is Creatine, beef tabs and "Daily One Complete" multiple. Take beef tabs with each meal.
